Office Scripts themselves cannot make direct HTTP requests for security reasons, but they integrate seamlessly with Power Automate which handles API calls, database queries, and email triggers — passing the data to your script automatically.
Complexity depends on the VBA codebase. Simple macros migrate in days, but complex UserForm-based solutions with ActiveX controls require architectural redesign. We audit your existing macros and provide a phased migration roadmap.

Office Scripts work in Excel on the web and Excel for Windows (Microsoft 365 subscribers). They do not currently support Excel for Mac natively, though Power Automate triggers work regardless of platform.
Office Scripts are designed for automation workflows, not custom functions. For custom Excel functions, we recommend Office Add-ins with Custom Functions API. We can build both and advise which approach fits your use case.
