Project Overview
Enterprise video production teams were losing massive amounts of time constantly toggling between their web-based Media Asset Management (MAM) systems and their local Adobe editing environments.
Downloading heavy proxy and raw files, importing them manually, rendering sequences, and then manually uploading them back to the MAM for review created a fragmented, slow, and error-prone workflow that hindered team collaboration.
Bidirectional API Synchronization
We integrated directly with the client's REST and GraphQL APIs to create a seamless, bidirectional (2-way sync) integration, bridging the gap between cloud infrastructure and local storage seamlessly.
Custom React-Based CEP Panels
MDS engineered custom Adobe CEP (Common Extensibility Platform) panels for both Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, utilizing a React-based frontend. Editors can now search the MAM, preview footage, and import assets directly onto their timelines without leaving the Adobe workspace.

Automated Rendering and Cloud Upload
Upon completing an edit, editors can trigger a cloud-sync action that automatically renders the active sequence via Adobe Media Encoder (using ExtendScript) and pushes the final asset, along with timeline markers as metadata, back into the MAM system for stakeholder review.
Key Challenges
Challenge 1
Constant context switching between web MAM portals and Adobe editing tools
Challenge 2
Manual downloading and importing of heavy proxy/raw files
Challenge 3
Time-consuming manual rendering and uploading for stakeholder review
Challenge 4
Fragmented and error-prone workflow stalling team collaboration
Results & Outcomes
The plugins completely unified the cloud-to-local editing workflow. Content turnaround times were reduced significantly, and the seamless 2-way sync eliminated manual file management, allowing editors to focus entirely on creative work rather than logistical bottlenecks.
