Challenges
Jobdroid’s back-end was created using .NET Core which was a new technology at the time and had no documentation. We had to create unique solutions, in such a scenario.
The existing systems had poor performance and needed improvement to match up to requirements. A new backend was made in line with the new UX. DB performance was improved after indexing.
There were issues in adding new features to the platform. This was resolved by restructuring the architecture.
Solution Scope and Services
The client needed to enhance and build a versatile job portal designed to cater to a diverse range of job profiles. To modernize its legacy systems and enhance user experience, they intended to build using a suite of advanced technologies. The goal was to make the platform accessible across a variety of devices while ensuring a responsive, intuitive, and seamless experience for users on both smartphones and desktops. The MetaDesign Solutions (MDS) team employed a combination of front-end and back-end technologies to achieve this, resulting in a robust and user-friendly platform.
Responsive Front-End Development
To create a responsive and intuitive front-end experience, the MDS team utilized a combination of HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap3, and Angular in an MVC Framework. This approach ensured that the (remove the word Jobroid) web portal could scale seamlessly across mobile and desktop platforms, providing users with a consistent and high-quality experience regardless of the device they were using.
Scalable Back-End Infrastructure
Given the wide range of job profiles and the significant web traffic to (replace this word – Jobdroid- with – to) handle, it was critical to develop a robust back-end infrastructure. The MDS team built this framework using C#.Net, ASP.Net 4.5, and Netcore 2.1, supported by a SQL Server for database management and Redis for NoSQL capabilities. This back-end system was designed to efficiently manage large volumes of data and traffic, ensuring smooth operation even under heavy loads.
